No need to ask people to be gentle. That's a damned fine shot.

Your results are very good, did you follow a tutorial, or how did you get such good results your first time?

I have been looking at various high fashion style from different people and analyZed their lighting to see where the highlights usually fall. Been holding off on the edit till i got a shot with the lighting in place and it made it simple.

I look forward to your shots...always top notch. Dodge and burn for overall adjustments or for skin smoothing?

It *is* a very nice shot. It's beautiful. The model is gorgeous, the lighting is lovely, and the composition is fine.

I find one fault. I think you focussed on something other than her eyes. When I look at the 2048 pixel image on Flickr, the hair on her right, camera left, is soft, and it is just barely beyond her eyes. Her right hand and the left strap of her dress are razor sharp.

You should focus on her closer eye. When I download the photo to see the exif data, none is shown. If when you focus on the closer eye (probably her left eye, though in this case either would work), you still get parts of her that are out of focus, you can always close the lens a stop to increase the DOF.

It is still a fine photo! Were it mine, I'd print it, frame it, and hang it on a wall.
