I have a perfect condition G12 I bought last fall. I have taken barely 1,000 pictures with it. I thought I would use it more. I bought a used 7D for a good price about a month ago and can't put it down.

It has the box and all factory accessories, a perfectly sized Lowepro case plus 2 extra Wasabi batteries that easily equal the factory Canon.

What would be a fair price to ask for this camera?

I have one as well. You won't get much more than $250 for it. I'm keeping mine because I bought mine new. It's always nice to have a decent point and shoot in the car to use instead of a crappy phone. But if you have to sell it I'm sure there are members here that would be interested.

6D, 60D, Various L and non-L Lenses and more gear than I have time to use. ;)

I don't need to sell it. I'm thinking I sell the G12 and my 40D and apply the funds towards a Fuji X100s. I'm thinking that would be a nice 'tweener:D

A quick search of the Marketplace here on POTN shows that the most recent 10 G12's that have sold range from $240-325. So I guess it depends more on condition, accessories and whether or not a user here is really seeking one around the time you post it for sale... Best of luck!

When you say: "$240-325" do you mean the asking price? Because I don't see how to find out the final sale's price, unless the seller posts it, which seems to be rare.

I haven't made this feature publicly available yet, but here's a graph of used prices for the G12 (used from retailers) vs new. These are the "actual" transaction prices at stores. For private or forum sales, it can be anywhere from 0-10% cheaper than buying used from a store.

IMAGE: http://www.canonpricewatch.com/graph/03314-Canon-PowerShot-G12-price-used-graph.png

The $200 listings were for Condition 8, no accessories. The listings at $280+ are generally condition 9+, complete box. So in my opinion I'd value your body near the high end of that range if it is in great condition with full box.

Hope this helps :)
