Hello everybody,
I am a Canon EOS 5D MKII owner on which I only use Leica-R lenses. I have been reading all the posts of this excellent thread. So many good pictures I enjoyed watching! But I must say that I am impressed by this photo indeed.
If I buy a lens that is not a Leica-R, I should say: "it's because of Earwax69" or "it's thanks to Earwax69", up to you!

Thank you Mr Earwax69!

Pentax K-1 II, LeicaR8x2, LeicaR6, LeicaR4S

Compare? Really? I didn't realize there was even some sort of competition against this lens :p:lol:

does anybody use this lens on crop sensor, and what is your thought?

I have it on a 7D and love it. The Sig 35/85 is an incredible pair.

If I get it, will be the same setup. How is the focusing with the camera, do you constantly have to adjust?

Guys, how is this lens for photographing moving subjects? Say if you want to photograph people on the street or when you photograph portraits, but the person is moving...how hard it is to get eyes perfectly in focus? I can tell that the lens is great when it comes to controlled environment, when you have a static object to photograph...more interested in dynamical images and how the lens delivers. thanks.

And hit the shutter as soon as you've achieved focus. I learned just how tricky it was to shoot moving objects with such a fast lens whilst shooting a kid's birthday party.

Kids are a bit like strangers in the street; they're not likely to stay still for you to take a photo of them, and when they do they pull a stupid face.

So you just need to be quick about getting the shot once it's focused, and don't wait for the 'moment' to snap, unless you're on servo (which I haven't had a tremendous amount of success with wide open so far..)
