There's just something "sexy" sounding about Helios 44/2. Love those colors.

I'd love one but at MFD isn't the DOF like 2mm? LOL

I went through lightroom and found I shoot mainly from 3.5-4.5! With the Sigma at 200mm and 2.8 it's hit or miss for sharpness. Stop down a bit and it's stellar. She's a great little one for sure and the cameras are getting a real work out!

jay125 had some neat squirrel shots of cooperative squirrels! We have some young guys hanging out in my front yard.....but they were too busy looking for food to pose very well. Anyway, here are a couple of snaps....Joe

(Used a defective CF card today and managed to bend - or break - a pin in the 5D, local shop sending it to Canon for me.....hope it is not too expensive to repair)

I've been subscribed to this since 2008 and finally this past Friday I pulled the trigger on the original 5D. All the amazing people portraits in this thread just kept me coming back.

Even though imo the 5D2 is legendary and the new 6D has better af. I just could not pass up an opportunity to pick one of these up and I can't wait for it to arrive. I'm looking forward to enjoying my 5D.

Congrats Frank. The 5D met and exceeded my expectations. I'm totally happy with it, and the images are everything they say they are.
