Interesting. I have a refurbished lens. Is there a dimple location for lenses? I looked but haven't found one. Or is this just for bodies?

Refurbished bodies get a pinhole near the serial number.

Refurbished lenses get some red paint in the alignment hole. This is not %100 accurate for all lenses but it seems to be a good indicator.

Yup. I checked my lens and indeed it does have the red dot. I would never have known. Thanks!

It is easy to tell, if something on the camera is not working then it is a refurb.
