Last year the nest of ospreys over the cell tower (3 nest with in 5 minutes from our house) along freeway near our house one of the nest was dismantled by the cell company then last week the ospreys came back and decided to build a nest on top of the power line about 15 feet away from their old nest (cell tower) I saw the nest yesterday and I was like oh no this is dangerous, this afternoon I went back to see the nest and I am glad to see crew from the energy company putting up a new post as high as the power line and build a platform and move the existing nest. I talked to the project manager and told me that it's so dangerous that they need to move it ASAP. They average 4 nest every year and he moved more than 50 nest ever since their avian protection program started. Awesome job they did. Went back this evening and the work was done and already saw the pair of osprey in their brand new nest. What a great job from our local energy provider. Kudos
