Quick question... do you have the couple sign a model release form for a wedding or engagement shoot?

There are a ton of sample on Google, Vinz. Read a few of them then pick&pull and make one for yourself that is most fit your need.

check those out, good reviews on em. we had ours custom written by our lawyer. $$$$ but worth it for us.

I'd say 80% of our weddings are album packages.

I'm maybe 25% album - 75% digital when contract is first signed...
by the the time they get married and images are ready, they're making kids, buying houses, relocating for work, etc... and realize that they don't have time for an album - and that comes back to me, and I end up with a 40-60 album-digital split

No, you don't need model release. Just state in the contract that your photography company will own the rights to use these photographs in any promotional exposures.
