mine have 1.1.3 and I know I updated in december, so 1.2 might be the new version

So you seem to have updated (may be) FW already.
How about checking if the new features available and sharing with us?

According to Canon Rumors, Canon USA updated the product page and stated April 30.
It´s still April! ;)

Well looks like Canon will be putting out the firmware on the last day of the month, this means they must be still having trouble getting this firmware right.

It is a shame to have to wait 6 months for firmware..

Has the current firmware effected your work? It sure hasn't effected mine.

Rob.

A 1Dx wouldn't help, has the same same focus problem when using flash which is being corrected even later than the 5DIII.

I am anxious to use my 400mm f/5.6L with the 1.4 t-con and have autofocus.

Yes it has. When I'm using my 600ex-rt in low light to take pictures of dogs by the time it focuses the shot is missed(dog moves) then try again and again and again, finally get focus in time and a shot but missed several others.

I'm also looking forward to the f8 AF but I don't currently have any slow enough lens that take my reporting TCs, but I've been holding off on buying one until I know I'll be able to use w/ the TC.

It is not the current firmware is not working, what the new firmware does is let you record in a uncompress format.

Not being able to use the AF assist lamp on the 580exII because it actually causes the camera to take longer to lock focus in low light is pretty annoying.

Not being able to see ones AF points through the viewfinder when it is dark or shooting against a dark subject/background is also annoying.
