mid 2014 seems still so far out...considering it was used at the 2012 olympics, i'm kinda amazed how long it's taking to get out

It's going to be hard to choose between this and the 400mm F2.8 II when I have saved enough.

I had seen bits about this lens, but never read anything in depth about it till today. I thought it was a replacement for the 100-400, but sadly it's not. It does look to be a hell of a lens though.

I meant they were different price points. A 50mm F/1.2 could be a replacement for a F/1.4, but it's not the replacement.
