Is it just me or is anyone else really impressed with the 6D's auto white balance? I rarely need any adjustment in LR for white balance, and when I do it's pretty much always very minor :) With my T2i it would usually be WAY off, especially with artificial light.

And this next one is OOF, but I still like it :p (and it's my fault, it's an MF lens so all the 6D haters hold your fire!)

I think we need to start a new thread, where we get our "other half" to take pics off us.

Sold my first DSLR & lens = 6D (24-105L) & (40)
Now what prime should i get with the 7d mark ii?...

bw!

Though whenever I hand her the camera, all I get are blurry or OOF shots... and sadly she has no interest to learn :(

lol that is so true Lucas. I get heart palpitations when my wife takes possession of Candy.
She took some shots the other day and complained that she had lost them..... looking up ctg files doesn't help!

Yeah it's pretty incredible. I typically revert back to the WB as shot after I let Lightroom have a go at it, but even then it's only ever very slight changes. It's amazing how accurate it is.

I'm new to DSLR video..but why can't I change the aperture in AV mode during video? Why does it sometimes automatically change the aperture?

It's not really AV mode, just full auto?

Just bought my body yesterday from a local guy who barely used it.

Anyone got a grip for sale? Or know where I can get one for a good price...

^^^^ Congrats on your 6D!

Amazon has Zeikos brand grips for $70 for the 6D. I have one for my T1i body and have been very happy with it. Still debating on whether I really need one for my 6D since the body is a really good size for me as is.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm somewhat weary of thirdparty grips as I use a BlackRapid-style strap, and would rather get an OEM grip for more peace of mind. 3k hanging on a $70 dollar grip isn't really for me.

Took some 60p test videos today, and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. The amount of moire was incredible. I'm uploading a video to YT now, will share the link soon.

But, moire has been a kown issue with the 6D. In fact it has been encouraged by a few on the web to go with another body if video is going to be a priority.

Mosaic Engineering came out with a filter to reduce moire and aliasing. Albeit a pricey sucker

I had two shoots last week in the same place; a big ballroom with windows all around covered (mostly) with beige curtains, which were backlit because it was still sunny out. Inside lighting was a mix of fluorescent and tungsten. Not a fun time dealing with WB there. The 6D did ok, but virtually every shot needed to be cooled down a bit in post. Otherwise I haven't had problem with it.
