How much you spent is irrelevant...One card is never enough.

Have a look in this thread , see if you are doing any similar things that they have done

Why low level? Ive done a normal format. Is this a serious issue? Camera is only 2 weeks old. Im more then happy to send it back

Well. If it's card related, and your current card might be crap... if you're unwilling to go out and get another card, then you have a $3,000 paperweight.

Seems to me it's worth getting another card.

yep, ill format it through pc. but like the post says it happends very random. Hasnt happened for 3 days, now 3 in a row and i lost my previous images..

ps, i have no idea if its card related. No post online says that it is either. So i wont be spending any money untill i know what it is.

Well, it's happening 3-days in a row. Then go out and buy a new card, doesn't even need to be expensive/fancy. Slap it in and keep shooting anything/everything around the house. If it's the camera, it'll likely freeze up again and at least you can tell the retailer where you bought the camera from "it freezes with 2 separate cards, it's most likely a camera problem". At least you'll feel more confident about the return.

I'd blame them up there^^^^

I never said format it :D

No seriously , it sounds like a card problem to little old me..

I wouldn't format on a PC and then insert into camera, at least without a format in Camera too first

Have a look AT THIS ARTICLE (external link). Don't know if this is the same issue as yours, but could be related.

:D. Its ok. I am not worried. Its brand new and canon store is just around the corner. Going to pay them a little unpleasant visit tomorrow.

Also would like to take this opportunity to say you've done some truly amazing photos.

Ye sounds like it is related. Because i used this mem card on my previous camera, and stuck it into the new one. So seems like a mem card problem, however now im getting some green looking photos and looking into that as we speak and finding out that fair few people have experienced this as well which adds to the err70 problem. However reading about "green" photos people still suggest its the mem card. So i guess best bet is to get another to test.
