dioladetus, the lighting on your images is absolutely perfect, is this all natural light, or with some fill flash?
The last set of eagles is stunning!

Thanks guys!
zman: All natural light, I do not think fill flash gives good natural images :) (I think it would be quite a job to set up lights out there in the wild...)
Heres a few shots of golden eagle mating

...especially with a moving subject ;), but that's not what I meant, some photographers use a Better Beamer (flash extender)...
Another beautiful set of eagles!

Hi Rob,
I think the 1Dx does a much better job. The 5D3 is great, the 1Dx is better :)
The bigger battery capacity helps speed up the AF a good bit.
The tracking capabilities of the 1Dx is much better, the shutter lag and fps is of course much better, that is also very important for birding I think. I like the controls and sturdy feel of the 1Dx better also, there is just something about the big houses.

Well its down to spending $. While the 600mm II is going to happen, I have one more question abou the 5D3 and 1Dx. I am curious to see if the AF advantages have been slightly negated with the just released 5D3 firmware update.
