Im not sure about sand sharks, but sand tiger sharks are VERY docile. They are nowhere near as ferocious as they look.

Is there any difference in a "sand shark" and "sand tiger shark?" Ive dove with sharks before and never seen either in the wild.

Nursing shark, I believe. Pretty common for aquariums; they play nice with the other creatures in the tank and are very docile. Their look...well, I ain't about to pet it.

Sand Tigers are also known as Grey Nurse sharks.
