If I'm shooting candids of children in changing light, I want to set the required aperture (hence AV mode) and automatically keep the SS at 1/500 or faster, along with the lowest ISO that will meet those requirements under metered light conditions (hence Auto ISO).

Currently the wanted functionality is available, except that the slowest allowed SS can't be set higher than 1/250. All that I'd need is one or two additional SS limiting levels to select from.

Manual mode disables EC, while TV keeps the aperture floating.

i know the firmware is supposed to allow af at f/8, but any chance that this will generally improve af at bigger apertures?

Just updated mine through EOS utility. Was nice and easy. It also seemed to fix my Error 70 issue. Good update!

Have anyone update the firmware by using just the SD card instead of the CF?

Or maybe its a case of peoepl not beleiving what they were told ;-)a

The "actual" file was already out, given out by Canon.

Its more a case of he couldn't prove it to the no believers rather than not knowing ;-)a
