oh well fine - if that was the effect you wanted to create, then it looks perfect. I just noticed that it looks like my photos when I go a little too far on NR, that's all :)

Like I said, great shot.

If yours has front/back focus, SEND IT IN TO SIGMA it'll come back perfect, you just have to have the patience to wait a week. They had mine in service for maybe one day (plus shipping time) and it came back spot-on

Cool flower pics above.
Went to the park yesterday, a lady asked if i would get a snap of her cute puppy. I emailed it and she loved it. I had the dof too darn shallow even at 2.0 on my FF 5D2, so i have to learn that I do not have to open this thing up so wide for people and pet shots.
2.8-3.5 would have been plenty wide dof.

Has anybody ever tested a super takumar 50mm 1.4 performance vs the sigma the takumar is pretty sharp wide open..

Maybe. But the Sigma kills in Bokeh and Color. Including the manual lenses.
