My 1st Star Trails Photo
stayed up last night to watch for the meteor shower, moon was a bit bright so I decided to try my hand at star trails -

Yes it's a bit bright and i'm sure the moons LP didn't help but it is a nice photo .

sorry, didnt see any responses, I took these shots while attempting to watch for a meteor shower, due to the almost full moon, a took a few shots to see if I could get a good exposure on the trees and still get the stars in the shot. I liked it so well, I decided to try something new. Instead of taking long exposures for the star trails I use to take, I had been reading about taking a lot of shots and combing them. I think it was about an hour and a half or so, total time - about 190 total shots.

what was ur settings? iso, shutter speed, aperature? did you actually set there and click it the whole time?

I'll have to check the shot, but were 30 second exposures each, used canon intervelometer, shutter button locked, so just continual firing, approx 190 total shots in that image. Will try & get other info.
