I would like to leave a comment but I don't like the term "bum"...as I saw no bums. What I did see: homeless men and artists.

...and I am pretty sure the last guy is not homeless with the amount of money he invested in his disguise!

+1

I know that some homeless people are there because they drank or gambled themselves into that position, but many are there through no fault of there own. Any one of us could end up on the street, if life throws us a curve ball.

They still deserve some basic human respect, and not to be called "bums".

Glad to see that I am not the only one with that perspective!

It's OK. Catchy title, but you know...Happens to me to. Not everyone appreciates my humor.

Really nice shots! I don't do much street photography. I'll occasionally get shots of buskers (street performers) which is easy after you give them a buck for whatever it is they are doing. The experience is a little more pleasant for both of us.

From the title I thought there would be more photographs of the buttochal area ;).

Boys and girls doe not get all hung up on the meanings you assign to the words. Would you be happier if it were "Shooting urban street folk?"

My favorites are 4 & 5 for completely different reasons.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.

I like the image of the busker in #5, and the monochrome conversion is well done. He has REALLY long thumbs!

I must admit that last image is disturbing. Of course we cannot deny that these people and conditions exist. It is too bad that that she could not supply the back story.
