And now a suspension mount for my recorder.......I really must change to black material. This is the Mk I version, the Mk II will be a little more low profile.

What kind of base block is this? I like the design. I was actually going to make one very similar to this but if I can buy one that will do what I want, then no need.

Here's my tripod rig. I'll post my handheld rig later.

The camera is a 7D running MagicLantern, and since I like shooting wildlife, I've got a 100-400L with a teleconvertor for extra reach. The tripod is a Manfrotto 504HD head on 546BK sticks. For capturing bird calls and other ambient sound, I use a Zoom H4N, and listen in real time with Bose QC15 headphones. Finally, for working outdoors in bright sunlight, I use a Hoodman Hoodloupe 3.0 held in place with a Redrock MicroFinder loupe accessory kit. Here's what it looks like in my back yard:

I got the 9ft jib from proam, LCD mount, LCD stand, Carrying bag all from ProAM.

Then a 7" Lilliput HD monitor with component and HDMI inputs with a shade

A servocity MPT1100-SS pan tilt head supporting up to 6 lbs

A 12 volt battery to run the pan tilt head without an outlet.

It works great. Very nice investment. Came in at about $1600 for everything!

Agreed, very nice set up.

This isn't my rig, but it came to the studio I work at one day for a client who was renting our green screen for a commercial. Very nice RED setup. I remember looking up the lens that it has on it and I believe I saw online it was $30,000 new for just that one lens. For anyone wondering, the lens is the Angenieux HR 25-250mm T3.5 Zoom Lens. The guy who owns it also had a whole huge pelican case full of glass. I found a used lens on ebay that was the same one and the seller was asking $19,000 for it.
