STICKY: How to photograph a high school Senior - Part 2

I'm not an active member but LOVE learning from the posts. I take photos for seniors, families, etc. I was wanting more of a wider lens to capture lots of background in the photo. (Heck maybe could even use on vacations...is it too much to ask?? ) I know not to use them on portraits too. I have the canon 70-200 2.8 IS, and canon 50 1.4 mm. Was wanting something that would complement these. Someone mentioned the Canon 10-24mm. Looking on Amazon the 17-40L popped up. What do you think would work the best? Let me know what you use.

Ok, So I live in the Southwest and well, I LOVE to do landscape/ sunsets/ weather shots for personal work. The next lens I want is the 16-35 2.8 ... I believe Lisa uses this lens for portraits also.

A couple of Carter from this past fall. He brought me to a "secret location" where there was an old abandoned bridge that he and his friends like to hang out at. (Doing only wholesome activities I'm sure...lol)

Different school, haven't shot many males yet. They are more of a challenge.

Yea, it's like pulling teeth to get any kind of expression out of them. Mom was threatening him to get this smile.

When I have time I look at Google Maps for places like that. Although, if they're on someone else's property it's a little bit more difficult to get to them
