European viper (Vipera berus). First time Ive ever tried to photograph these. ;)

Very nice, Did you use your macro lens? Used to have a LOT of Waglers Pit Vipers at the backyard back home. Thankfully they are slow as snails when crawling. :D

Very nice! Do you have one with more DOF on it? I'd like to see what the rest of the body looks like too.


Gripped 7D, gripped, full-spectrum modfied T1i (500D), SX50HS, A2E film body, Tamzooka (150-600), Tamron 90mm/2.8 VC (ver 2), Tamron 18-270 VC, Canon FD 100 f/4.0 macro, Canon 24-105 f/4L,Canon EF 200 f/2.8LII, Canon 85 f/1.8, Tamron Adaptall 2 90mmf/2.5 Macro, Tokina 11-16, Canon EX-430 flash, Vivitar DF-383 flash, Astro-Tech AT6RC and Celestron NexStar 102 GT telescopes, various other semi-crappy manual lenses and stuff.

No I dont have any with more DOF, I couldnt do it simply because there wasnt too much light in there and I wanted to keep ISO at max 800. But I am probably going back there next weekend to try again (fingers and toes crossed for a sunny day)... ;)

All shots (if I remeber correctly) have been taken with 90mm macro, exept 1st and 4th. Theyre taken with 70-200mm + 1.4tc.
