nice, right? I had just ordered a 40mm to play with from Amazon and then saw this. Canceled the 149.99 and got in at 98 all in. It's one of them that is 50% off. As is the 55-250 mk1
85l II in stock at 1485 or so? Glad I just paid over $1700. Guess I'll hang on to that for a bit and use it!
No 600 RT in stock, but most of the lenses you'd want...

Just ordered a 5DII. For days and days I debated about this one and a 6D, but opted for the first because the button layout and joystick is similar to the 7D's, and also because I feel it's more rugged than the 6D when shooting outdoors in the winter (lost of ice and snow). I could be wrong, of course :)

Anyway, it's going for under $1,500 now. Hopefully it has a low shot shutter count.

Absolutely!!! Any issues (unlikely) are gonna' show right away so why not. Never had an issue with any of the bodies or lenses from their refurb store.

The $50 nifty-fifty and $80 shorty-forty pancake didn't last long. Out of stock already.

Was just about to post the same thing. Really nice price for a versatile lens.

They still have the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Refurbished for 259.00,Considering most places sell these new for over 500+ that's a great deal on a fine lens. These are as close to L quality and IQ as you are going to find.

Thanks! Generally (I believe) they are open box or returns. Although, My 5DMII had less than 30 clicks on the shutter. Someone else posted that some of the bodies and lenses are likely random QA pulls. If there is a return it can't be sold as new (just like Apple products) and will appear in the refurb store. If you search here on POTN or do a Google search you can find more posts about the refurb store. I believe that generally the return on refurbs is probably less than new because the items have been checked over by techs prior to sale (operation, focus, etc.) So far I've purchased the following without a single issue from the refurb store......

5DMII
7D
24-70 2.8
50 1.4
100L

Just picked up a 100-400. Was going to buy a used from Adorama but agree with Breacher1 the refurb should be checked over by Canon prior to resale. I buy used anyway 90% of time so why not.

Welp, I have funds ready in paypal (and need to be spent from there...long story). The lens I want is in stock and cheaper than anyone in willing to sell theirs used. Sigh... I just needed to vent that Canon doesn't take paypal. (Sorry for any incoherence.)

I'm off lining my cage with newspaper.
