Black Bear Cubs at tree

I took this photo on 2 May, 2013 in Cade's Cove, GSMNP, there were 3 small cubs with momma, she had two tags in her ears. From what I heard, if she is tagged 3x or more they will trap her and euthanize her. Sad but that is what happens when people feed wild animals. Hope you enjoy the pic!

Nice images and hopefully mom doesn't end up euthanized. The white balance looks a little off, but I am on an ipad so that could be the reason too.

Chad - This particular Mom has not been in trouble, she is being monitored by the park biologists. They are interested in her prolific cub production. This is her 3rd litter of three cubs in a row. Ear tags do not always mean that a Cades Cove black bear has been in trouble.

no more handholding a 400 2.8 for me! Lol, that think about killed me.
