I believe the mirror just needs glued back on but I looked to see if anyone had any post on this and i could not find one. Attached is a photo of the mirror that sits in the camera. May 06, 2013 21:12 | #6 Free fix by Canon for all 5D's. It's a known issue, especially with the first bodies released, but regardless of the age of the 5D, Canon will fix the mirror for free. You might have to pay shipping, however. The cool thing is they usually clean the camera and check it while they have it.
