Not exactly sure how to describe how this happened besides i went to take a pic and couldnt see anything. I believe the mirror just needs glued back on but I looked to see if anyone had any post on this and i could not find one. Attached is a photo of the mirror that sits in the camera. Any help would be great

Thanks

I think there was a recall on the mirror for the 5d.

Good luck with the repair. I also have 5Dc without mirror fix, crossing my fingers.

Free fix by Canon for all 5D's. It's a known issue, especially with the first bodies released, but regardless of the age of the 5D, Canon will fix the mirror for free. You might have to pay shipping, however. The cool thing is they usually clean the camera and check it while they have it.

No reason to do that since fix is free. Last thing you want is the mirror problem when you most need the camera.

Pick a time. Get the mirror fixed. Takes about a week, round trip, depending on where you live
