3. Thanks

Sorry mate, just being honest. Doesn't do anything for me at all. The whole point of the thread is that people give their honest opinions... It's only my opinion anyway, other people might like it! Artistic tastes vary innit...

3/10 Thanks
There's a very unusual sky behind the trees. Guess you missed it.

Yeah, I can't see what is behind the trees. Maybe would be better in colour then?

Nice mood; bit too much HDR feeling on the trees for me. the background lighting is also bit of a distraction 6.5/10

Nice depth of field, tones and composition - highlights are a little blown, but that's being picky.

Overall good shot. 7.5/10

...i would say to clone out the partial branches top left of the screen but it actually adds to the emptiness of the scenery!!! i like the framing, especially the movement of the clouds as if time has left this town behind(at least that's how i view it) great shot! 9/10 because nothing in life is perfect!

my attempt at cinematic edit, yes or no?

Hmmm, interesting shot. I like the idea of it, and it certainly looks cinimatic, but I'm not crazy about the composition. My eye is drawn to what he's pointing at, but there's nothing there but blurred empty frame, I think a slightly less narrow DOF to make out whatever that face is in the background could've improved the shot - 6/10

nice, the expression on his face does make you feel as if there's something going on in his life and the black & white works very good. 8/10

9/10. Love the light streams, beautiful lighting and work with shadows, perfect 2x3 framing, , I'd prefer the shadow photoshopped out but it's not a big deal. Overall, sweet capture!

8/10. I like it... I think I would have liked a little more shadow detail in the background....or possibly a little more dramatic colors/pp. The veil should have either been completely covering her face or exposing it. The way it hides part of her face in the way that it does is just a little distracting I think.

6/10 Could use more contrast and maybe straighten the shot a bit.

Thanks. Good point on the PP. This one deserves an hour in Photoshop by someone with skill.

Edit: I also agree she's a bit cut off. I like her peek-a-booing but 1/10th second more of spinning would have let us see her more.

This was a fun epiphany shoot. I woke up in the middle of the night ...

My goal was catching the shadows by the creases in the veil just so. Gently expanding arches within the triangle created by the edges. All at a slightly dynamic tilt.

I would only wish for a little more ambient light, 1/10th second more of spin to see more of her, maybe a little more curve of the veil's edges, and her torso twisted more would be very dynamic. Also; the flash-circle painted in the sand is slightly noticeable.

8/10, great editing, just a bit too much going on with the trees, a tad confusing. brilliant none the less.
