I have the 15-85 and it is my favorite lens. I get good sharp pictures and it has the perfect range for what I do most often. A great walk around lens in cities and other places where things are more confined like Fisherman's Warf in Monterey or Pier 39 in San Francisco.

They are from the exact same family as the infamous Broadway Photo. If you don't know who Broadway Photo was, just Google "Broadway Photo Scam" and you'll get a feel for their background.

As for what BigValue Inc does now, they primarily advertise US versions of the item they are selling and then you end up with a Grey Market camera or lens. A good portion of the time, you get everything that's supposed to come with the camera (or lens)...but sometimes you're missing things that are somewhat critical, such as a battery, battery charger, eye-piece, etc. And then when you raise questions or try to return the item, you start getting the run-around and it take s a long time to get a refund or you may not get all of your money back after they take out a phantom restocking fee.

There has also been a few times where they send you used gear, although that doesn't seem to be as prevalent as the Grey Market scheme.

Buyer beware! If you choose to buy from them, you're not getting what you're paying for and you're taking a significant risk.

I'd either take my chances buying used (what I did), refurbished... or just bite the bullet and buy from a Canon authorized dealer.

I just bought this lens from Amazon for $762. It's a Amazon Prime item fulfilled by Amazon. There was a eBay seller with one pulled from a kit for $759 with Canon USA warranty. But I emailed the Amazon seller and he said it was a Canon USA warranty also so I went with them so I would get it on Friday. Plus I like Amazon when it comes to returns.

If it turns out not to be a Canon USA warranty I let folks here know. Otherwise it's a good deal although some folks here have done better.

Just to be clear "fulfilled by Amazon" is not the same as a product actually sold by Amazon. You are buying it from a third party, pretty much the same thing as getting it on eBay. And the return policy is set by the seller, not Amazon. Hope it works out for you.

I guess guys should check the percentage of positive feedback, adorama also has 105 neg in past 6 months. My friend receives a brand new lens with significant paint lost, wears on the body and dust in the lens, from adorama.

Buyers are all the different, as a seller if they sell tons of goods, no one can guarantee everything is just fine, possibility is the truth happening all the time

But it's a shame if they can take care of bad sales, custom service should compensate for what they have done previously.

Also lots of happy buyers of B I, at least they offered some nice prices, and my 5D3 is good..

Once indeed, u get what u pay for. For less money u lose warranty and potentially good service.

Fly me away.

I just bought a 24-105L from them on eBay, and it's in brand new condition with a US warranty card, even though it comes in a white box (part of a kit). No complain here for $699 spent. It has a UB05 date code.
