Why shoot RAW and jpeg? You can make jpeg's from the RAW's later and not have to worry about filling up your cards/buffer as much, therefore shooting RAW gives you the best of both worlds.

Good question! Easy answer. I'm old and lazy. In addition, I don't have the latest and greatest in computer equipment. As I've mentioned previously, I shoot a lot of car shows during the summer and many times, I'll upload the whole batch to Flickr. I also shoot flowers and misc. items to use an images on cards that my wife and I send to friends throughout the year. For these purposes, the jpeg is sufficient and I don't have to deal with ACR to get it. I usually select the jpeg size depending on what I'm going to do with the image. However, if I can sell a showboard while at a car show, or a flower image that I want to print (large) I have the RAW file to fall back on.

Here's a sample of the showboards I do. This one is not quite finalized but will give you an idea.
