When I viewed the image full size I was surprised and delighted at the signs in the store window. I am amazed how the camera picks up things which I am not able to see with my naked eye, (astigmatism, glasses, getting older, you know). OhLook insufferably pedantic. I can live with that. 24,807 posts Gallery: 105 photos Best ofs: 2 Likes: 16148 Joined Dec 2012 Location: California: SF Bay Area More info | May 09, 2013 21:13 | #172 Thndr_strck wrote in post #15915183 Anybody tried macro lens attachments with this beauty ? Yes, diopters up through 4 + 1 stacked. That's all you can get, magnifying lenses on a filter adapter, no true macro lens. I didn't find that they made much difference. The macro setting is pretty good by itself unless you want extreme detail. I was only hired for the prize presentation, so I took advantage of some time to play with my G15 and I'm really impressed with the results of this wee camera! Dynamic range isn't as good as a DSLR (as expected) so I lose the highlights a bit occasionally, but I've been very surprised at just how sharp it is:
