I was out for a scooter ride and saw these people enjoying a drink together on a beautiful morning so I took a photo of the cafe. When I viewed the image full size I was surprised and delighted at the signs in the store window. I am amazed how the camera picks up things which I am not able to see with my naked eye, (astigmatism, glasses, getting older, you know).

Yes, diopters up through 4 + 1 stacked. That's all you can get, magnifying lenses on a filter adapter, no true macro lens. I didn't find that they made much difference. The macro setting is pretty good by itself unless you want extreme detail.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa | Comments welcome

I shot a classic car show yesterday. I was only hired for the prize presentation, so I took advantage of some time to play with my G15 and I'm really impressed with the results of this wee camera! Dynamic range isn't as good as a DSLR (as expected) so I lose the highlights a bit occasionally, but I've been very surprised at just how sharp it is:

I'm joining the club, just ordered this camera today!!! :D
I will hopefully see it Monday and try to post pictures on here. I'm sure I will be using it, since my 60D needs to go in for repair. :(
