I was wondering, if the 5D3 and the 6D are set to center-point focus only, will there be a difference in auto focus speed? Will one outperform the other? I ask because I'm interested in the 6D, I only shoot center point, and was curious.

Thank you. bw!

The speed won't be much different, the tracking will be though. Ironically though, my friend was shooting a gymnastics meet with his 5DIII today and he was telling me how frustrated he was with it's AF... he couldn't seem to get it to work right with any of the center point modes, it kept focusing on the background. I'm sure it's operator error (sorry to my friend ) but I know I've never had that issue with my 6D shooting the same thing.

I used the 6D in the most difficult lighting I've ever had to shoot in last night and so far I'm impressed with the results. I've got hundreds of pics to sift through though, so it'll be a day or two before they're up ;)

Me and the gal veered off the main highway for about 5 minutes and found a peaceful spot on top of a mountain.
