I'm willing to bet Jon is flying that plane over Quincy.. #justsayin

In largely unrelated news, gogo Canon prices -- it appears that Canon has been leaning on retailers to not sell below MAP via 'Add to Cart' method anymore. 5D3 bodies at B&H for $3499, kits for $4099. Makes me wonder if Canon is trying to make a grab for cash or what, but I guess enforcing MAP doesn't change the prices they sell to retailers for.

Been MIA a few days, got LASIK.

@Harm: I have a Sigma 35. If I can make the next meet, you're welcome to try it out. It's grown on me since I first got it but the 35 range isn't my favorite; I much prefer 50. I used focal to calibrate it to my 6D. Focal was very sporatic but I think my copy is fairly sharp with little to no focusing issues.

There will be rebates again soon enough, almost always in the fall at the very least. That said, 5D3s are in the Canon Loyalty Program for around $2350 + tax, which isn't bad at all (if you were thinking of going 6D).

im down for a boat ride. i'll throw in for gas, food...etc...

the graves light would be a cool trip, but if you want to stay closer, caughlin park area of winthrop offers great airplane photo's overhead. little brewster island, shag rocks...whatevers clever.

Too risky having 5 people with mega lenses takin photos of planes. Last time there was just what 3 of us, no 4 right by the runway. I wouldn't mind doing that again though. I am up for any ideas
