Very interesting and really sheds a good light on the 5d3。 Congrats to all 5d3 owners.
On a side note does ML do things for nikon or sony as well

Canon only. After using it for 18mo on my 600D; I ordered a 6D the day the ML team got 'Hello World!' running on it. (I know; never count on feature that's not available; but that was good enough to push me over the edge vs waiting on QC to catch up on a d600)

Amazing.
This puts the 5DIII in league with some pretty pricy hardware.

I'm sure it won't have an effect on the high end Cinema bodies though, as those that can afford them, will get them for there added features.

Cool and crazy indeed. Crazy that Canon had a product with an amazing capability, but did nothing to exploit it.

I think the write speed of SD cards is going to be the bottleneck for a 6D. If I remember correctly, CF still has the speed advantage.
