Challenge #432 - Graveyards of the 'rusted automobiles'
The great song 'City of New Orleans' (by Steve Goodman) has a line in it 'the graveyards of the rusted automobiles'. I'd like to see your interpretation of that line. Could be a junk yard, rusted car in a field, or your neighbors yard... show us what ya got :) & have fun!!
_______________
"Thankyou all for the great entries this week! They're all winners in their own way. Welcome to the challenge 'slowfox'!!! It's difficult to pick an absolute winner, however there must be a #1 and keeping the theme in mind I wanted to feel the loneliness of the lost soles who have served so well. One couldn't help being taken by the vastness of the large cemetary portrayed in teekays 'Valley Of The Dead'.. on the other hand the tired old farmhand being 'Put Out To Pasture' (corythosaurus) reminds us that retirement isn't always 'happy'.. Michael Wells' The Journey Ended makes you wonder how many trips to the grocery store, how many winters, how much heartache & happiness has this ole girl seen only to end up lost and forgotten. BobsYourUncle's Arizona Ghost Town Auto Graveyard truly shows the 'end of the road'. What sites have these old servants seen? One can visualize in their early days shiney & new, proud & strong. All of the images captured the theme in some small way, these mentioned came closest to what I had invisioned and 'Arizona Ghost Town Auto Graveyard' gave me the lump in my throat I was looking for. 'Pictures say a thousand words.' Your finalists are:
1. BobsYourUncle- Arizona Ghost Town Auto Graveyard
2. teekay- Valley Of The Dead
3. Michael Wells- The Journey Ended
