The Grove

IMAGE: http://twilightscapes.com/forums/thegrove/thegrove-store.jpg

a small ghost town called The Grove in Hill Country, TX. Had an awesome opportunity to meet the woman who now owns the town that her grandfather built. The town was owned by another party for over 30 years, but it went up for auction and she was able to buy it and now it's back in her family.

She was very gracious of my weird behavior while running around with lights and what not. She gave me the grand tour of all of the buildings and their contents. This place is fantastic. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally get down there and check it out.

On a walk in the woods yesterday, my wife and I came across this wreck of an old outhouse. No door, and I'm sure no paper. I can't imagine a need so great as to warrant sitting on that throne!

All shot with 5D and probably a 24-105. My friend had arranged a guided tour of the facility. We tried to do it again in '11 but they didn't return our fonecalls. But I'm grateful for the 1st trip!

Sony a7R4 and 24-105/4, Metabones-5 adapter for Canon TS-E 50 (gen.3) and 100-400L II, and Zeiss Batis 18/2.8 UW.
