Hello my first post here! :) About the picture: Picture is shot through metal fence so thats the reason for that dark stripe on right side. Handheld with 600d and 50mm f1.8 lense. Post processing in Lightroom.

nice picture overall. I'm not sure if the TS effect is a little off or what but some of the boats seem slightly blurry to me I also wouldn't have minded the treeline being in focus to enhance the serene feeling I'm getting from the image. For a first attempt though you did quite well keep it up. 7/10

First keeper image for me out of my new to me 50D which made it's way to me from Segedi out in Calgary.

6/10. Definitely needs some post processing. You have to bring out the blue sky, bring down the highlights, crop or clone the electric post and the cars on the right side of the picture.

Here is mine.

Looks like you got lazy on the composition. Should have taken a step to the left and centered it up. 6/10

7/10 I really like the colors and the feel of the photo. There's just something nerve-wracking for me with her standing in the street and those cars in the street behind her. Great expression on her face though.

I figured with Memorial day this week this would be a good photo to share.

I find myself making the same mistake sometimes... Get a bunch of 'great' shots, take them back to the computer and notice a composition error in most of them. Sooo annoying! :p

9/10 for me, I love the innocence, depth of field and the composition – but I’m a newbie, so it’s more emotion than technical knowledge.
