To achieve this effect, I used a shutter time of 2m21s and a flashlight.
(I only used photoshop to remove color noise caused by the extreme long shuttertime)

It would be cool if one could stick a spot of fluorescent paint on the shell and then take the shot. You could get a cool taillight effect! Nice shot though!
