Good kit doesn't make you a great photographer but its helps you suck less and means you have more to live up to. I have always believed that you should be limited by your ability and not your kit, and if you kit is better than your ability you have a responsibility to learn how to use it well.

In my signature. And unfortunately the 24-70mm II and 200mm 2.8 make the other two look consumer grade by comparison...

My number has increased dramatically over the past year or so. I am up to six, after only having two before buying a 5D3 last spring. I think I am done for awhile now.
