I am scouting for good location for wedding shoot of bride & groom in Toronto GTA area. I am shooting for Fillipino wedding.

Does anyone know any nice romantic place for photoshoot?

that's a pretty large area - you might want to narrow down your search, otherwise you might end up spending most of your time travelling...

I know for sure Adamson Estate requires a fee and reservation. Same goes for the distillery district. You should double check with city officials just in case. And yeah, you're casting a pretty wide net here. May want to narrow down what you're looking for.

Any wedding park or location around the GTA with groomed park space etc. requires a commercial photography permit. So get the permit! You don't wan't to risk being kicked out during wedding shoot!

"To have wedding photos taken at <insert>location</insert> a permit is required from <insert>applicable authority</insert> which costs <insert>price</insert> per hour".

Rules are rules. If she doesn't want to pay the relevant fees for a location... she can't get photos there. Really not a tough one at all.

This is simply the thing you have to tell them, it is their responsibility to get the permit.
Or you can get it but they have to pay it plus your cost of service.

:D Why would the bride freak out? It is up to them to decide on wedding park location any how, we as photographers can only suggest the location, they decide and let us know about the agenda.

We are covering the event, we don't organise it, we are not the wedding planners :)

well I already told them the cost of permit and she had a heart attack. I could only suggest High park where it is free. permit is required at every park that has a flower garden.

the bride calls me 2 weeks before the ceremony. I have no time to prepare my gear. She left it to the last minute.

LOL don't kill your self, give her facts. That is the only thing you can do.
You could suggest Younge&Dundas square, it could be fun but you need to prepare your self for that undergoing, it is usually a busy place.

2 weeks, yes, forget about the permit than. Suggest the locations for her and let her decide but quickly!

You have to see the location before the wedding!

The bride can't decide whether to hold ceremony at church or outdoors. She is asking for advice about ceremony at last minute. I am not a wedding organizer.

OMG, what is going on with the bride?

To be honest I would not do that wedding, this is destined for a disaster!
If it is a really good friend or family member OK, but a short notice wedding like that I always refuse. How can you operate like that?

Nothing is scheduled, no permit, no solid locations, LOL, this is fire fighting, not photography
