Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This weeks the theme is Flowers . As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

What's blooming for you?

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between Monday posting and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here:IMAGE POSTING RULES

That's it! Have fun! . As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

An index to previous weeks can be found here:POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it! Have fun!

Nothing like some ALFALFA to keep the bees busy and the critters happy when they journey through here sure helps with the clay soil around here to:)

I like the roses ours are not out yet.
The flowers are trailing bi-colour Geraniums.

This is Grand Prix Weekend here in Montreal and the weather had been Rainy and Cloudy since Thursday, and even the Flowers couldn't bring the people to "Les Terrasse"

Jm That is one beautiful rose.. Vibrant color and nice crisp edges! Ya gotta love day lilies , so many varieties. Lovely contribution..

Keith.. I don't know what the red are in the first pic, but I do like them. Looks like it could be the flower of some sort of succulent. I think I can smell that yellow rose from here :). That is beyond a double it has so mant petals ... And who knew alfalfa could be that beautiful! Does it have a nice fragrance?

75 -I saw that it is a big race weekend for you .. geraniums seem to be a hit for sports venues ;). I saw them around Roland Garros for the French Open finals, on TV that is!

Andy, Did you hold the buttercups under your chin ;). You know, for that glow ..

Great shots everyone. It doesn't look like I'll be picking up a camera for a while.. Doc and MRI show a bulging disc in my low back. Time for some decisions about how to move ahead. I'm sure happy I have an iPad. :)

Any suggestions for what you all might like to shoot are always welcome..not that I mind picking, just a reminder .. All suggestions welcomed. ;)
