I definitely have a soft spot for low speed cloth shutters like k1000, FED... they just last forever. National Sarcasm Society. Like we need your support.

Jun 06, 2013 16:07 | #37 easy, first one I ever bought. A tiny plastic no name that took film cassettes and those little square flash bulbs good for 4 shots. Still have it and the manual, and it's the last camera I'd ever give away if forced to do so 40D, 5D3, a bunch of lenses and other things

Preeb Goldmember ![]() More info | Haven't had that many which I would qualify, but I guess I have to go back to my first SLR. Minolta SRT 201 bought in 1976 and carried for 14 years. I carried it slung across my chest for many, many miles of trail and off trail rambling through the mountains of Colorado. That camera was simple to use, ruggedly built, and was still going strong when I passed it down to my niece in 1993. Rick

Todd Lambert I don't like titles ![]() More info | Jun 06, 2013 16:46 | #39 I'd say the 5D3 as well. It is the mythical 3D that many of us have wanted for a long time. Sure there are older cameras that I've loved too, but this thing is a workhorse and allows me to do my job faster than anything else, with consistent results and that's what counts most in my book.

For a real answer though, I think my Polaroid SX-70 is actually my favorite. There's just something about instant cameras that really interested me. I'm our family archiver and have been scanning lots of old pictures. Most have faded quite a bit and have lost lots of contrast, except the old Polaroids. Even the really old ones, (50+ years old) look almost new. They really got the paper recipe right. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
