My friend's brother got married last month and I was invited as a guest. They all ready had a photographer higherd to do the wedding photos but I was asked to bring my camera and get some candids through the evening. I am by no means a wedding photographer ( all though I have shot a few to help friends on a budget ) and no desire to be a fulltime wedding photographer. So just thought I would post a few I took and see what everyone thought.

p.s Please be gentle it was a open bar and I was a guest :D

That is very likely. I did say there was a open bar. Lol. I did a bit of softening on all of them I'm PP so may have over done it or running f2.8 and low shutter speeds hand held I may have just missed the focus or had some shake to the camera.

1 & 2 both look out of focus/very soft, the rest are nice captures and exposed ok.

You do however seem to have made the classic mistake of cropping them all quite randomly.... every one seems to be different dimensions. That's not an issue when you are just posting them on-line but if you are handing over a set of images to the bride and groom then they should be a consistent crop ratio.

Cropping the odd image to square or panoramic because it really suits it is fine but if you crop all images creatively in post processing then you are creating a problem for when they are printed.

You probably need an external flash to help stop the motion in the dancing photo!
