The game will last 7 Days and whoever can produce the best edited image (as judged by me) will be picked and it'll be their turn to post their unedited picture for all of us to take a crack at.

The participants must have their "Image Editing OK" turned on and they must provide at least a simple breakdown of how they edited the image, some entrants are a little vague on this point, please give us all details so we can learn and share tips. For instance if you use the unsharp mask tool or Smart Sharpen, provide us with the adjustments you used so others can try them out.

You can post multiple images, but the first image you post will be the one that is judged - all other images will be considered for knowledge and tip use only.
Feel free to comment and/or ask questions at any time. This is a good competition for learning new methods, so let's make it a bit more dynamic. I will be judging edits, not comments. Feel free to comment on the original image as well.

If you happen to be the winner of the game please start the next one with the title of the game and the following number. For example…the next game should read "Before & After #476".

Submissions end, Wednesday, June 12th, 2013 at 5:00 PM GMT-5 (USA Central time) and a winner will be announced.

Good Luck and have fun!

Here's the RAW File for those who would like one to work with.

Several problems in this one. Have fun.

basic adjustments in Lightroom. I wasn't sure about the magenta in the signs at the kiosk, but I don't know what color they should have been, so I kind of just ignored those
Photoshop: Too much stuff to focus on, so cropped it down. created new layer with a very dark brown gradient fill in the top left corner and adjusted the opacity to darken that area a bit and make it closer to the other side.
Decreased over-all brightness slightly, then did spot brightness and contrast increases on the guy talking on his phone on the right, and the girl eating her fingers on the left. Hopefully that pulls your eye across the image and gives some focal points.

Opened in Camera Raw, increased exposure by 1/2 stop, increased shadows changed white balance, got rid of purple fringing. In CS6 ran a couple of Topaz filters then added a layer mask to reveal three original features and smart sharpened then flattened.

There was just too much going on in the picture. The hero of this location is most def. the beautiful vintage clock on top of booth. Converted to BW, adjusted contrast and highlights, vignette, blur to make the eye go direct on clock, some curves for retro yellow/blue look.

Wow, guess I picked a boring shot. Only 3 entries.

I like the selective clarity of both the first two shots. Great concept.

But I love what you did with it, Unrising Muffin. So over to you. Maybe you can come up with a better image so we'll have more entries next round.
