Guys, what do you think about this issue?

if you agree with the issue above, would you prefer the couple to request the guest to turn off devices during the ceremony?

I think that when a person sits down with the clients they should tell them that they need to make sure that guests are aware that they cannot be taking pictures or holding their cell phones out in the way lol. They can just tell them, "we have hired a professional to take care of the pictures, we want you here in the moment with us, not worrying about getting photos".

I know I would not want all my wedding pictures having cell phones and cameras in them.

Just shot a wedding that was unplugged. Well almost. The bride and groom asked for a device free wedding. The pastor announced before the ceremony started that they have hired a professional photographer and video. And ask that you embrace the ceramony and join in celebrating the real meaning of the wedding. And everyone was fine with it. No iPads, phones, cameras. Even a few people brought cameras but did not use them until after the ceramony. The only thing that happened was the old guy in the back. His cell phone rang and he could not get it out if his pocket fast enough. When he did, he answered it. There is always one.

I always love it when the pastor asks for no photos except the professional during the ceremony!
