I assume the BIL is going to pay for the fix. It's definitely worth getting it fixed. It's a great lens.

not sure if lens is sharp as should be though.

I don't see why you're questioning the sharpness. Those pictures look real sharp to me, especially for a $350 lens.

Nice moon shot. Is the EXIF data correct? It says 1/200 second shutter speed. That seems awfully fast for a moon shot.

Thanks! The exif is correct. 1/200, F8, ISO 400. I took about 50 shots in RAW, then stacked/aligned them in PS and then tweaked the exposure and sharpness a bit. Any slower than 1/150 - 1/200 and the moon was getting quite over exposed.
