Wow.. Congrats!!!!

I also did the same thing you did. When I got my 1DX I shot it with my iphone 5 and posted on facebook. I got a lot of drool over it. LOL.

BTW, folks saying it's not worth the extra money and saying it's basically the same is full of it.. No comparison in my book.

Ok, I'll challenge you. Post some photos you took with the 1dx that could not have been taken with say a 7d or possibly a 5d3. It's one thing to drool over a camera...but a totally different thing to make it sing. Let's see what song you can cone up with. The challenge is on...hope you don't back down:)

At the end of the day. I'll still have a 1DX and they or whoever will still have a 7D. :)

BTW, this isn't a debate thread topic.

I love my 5D3 and 6D for that matter. I ordered a 1Dx but ended up cancelling after being stuffed around for a few months, ETA kept getting extended.

For me, the frame rate is attractive. Weather sealing, rugged build and size, are of no interest to me. Getting better images, and getting the image is my priority.

I would love to here your opinion, on how the images from the 1Dx compare with same from your 5D3

Image will be the same or very similar. It's the keeper rate and the ergonomic feel of the pro body that matters to some.

I don't think they were saying anything about "stoked"

You say BOUGHT instead of BROUGHT. They are poking fun that what your sentence really says is the UPS Driver came and BOUGHT your camera as you said. NOT brought it!

flickserve wrote in post #16034648 (external link)
He was referring to the first sentence of your post ;) LOL.

Congrats for getting the machine!

OP,

I am quoting these two posts as proof that others did, in fact, get the joke

Lighten up, man. it's an online forum. We are here to have a good time and learn a bit. You had a typo in your OP, in which I found some humor...

Congrats on the 1DX.

I am stoked for you.

And your UPS driver.
:D :D

......played around with a 1DX last year at a seminar and was blown away by the frame rate'... but my needs are not focused on JUST frame rate... THE 1DX IS A FANTASTIC CAMERA!...
5D3 and 3k worth of GLASS for the same price is what i seem to hear time and time again ... its TESTIMONY that the 5D3 holds its own on the image front against a camera 3k more expensive,......
