Love the graphic. ^^^

I've been shooting the EOS 3-D for a few months now, it is every thing the 3D people have been asking for an more. A more compact 1D with 1D AF, weather sealing and sturdy build, tons of MP and even full frame, all for less than half the cost of a 1D!

Mine is the more common re-badged EOS 5D Mark III

I find it hard to believe that Canon would send a new unreleased, unannounced body out to test with a shoulder strap boldly advertising the the brand new, super secret, area 51 body name.

I agree but you have to admit that the number on that strap looks like it could be a 3.

Now is as good of time as any to have the Chinese lady at the mall change the stitching on one of my straps to 3D.

Agree except for the 'tons of MP' part. With Nikons consumer cameras having 24 mpix, 20/22 mpix isn't enough. We all want more, whether we actually need them or not. It's the D800's greatest asset, and what sets it apart from all other 35mm cameras. It's unique..........

As for the 3D, it looks very Fuji X1 Pro like, a camera I have considered many times. Canon must pull something out of the bag, Grandpas 18 mpix sensor has been beaten to death. I bought my 7D for the 8 fps then, Sony went and brought out those Alphas thrashing the 7D's frame rate into the ground. Again, the 8fps is what set the 7D apart from the competition. The competition has caught up and surpassed :(

I'm hoping the 7D2/3D or whatever is next is taking so long because its going to be extra special........... :D

What does Nikon's product specs have to do with whether 22 mp is enough?

MPs are somehow coming back into fashion.

I wish it weren't so.

Image quality should always, always be the top priority, even if other things must be sacrificed.

At least, that's my two cents (worth more like one cent).

BTW: I think the rumor and photo are BS.

Thank you. bw!

Except more megapixels never meant worse image quality.

Never is a very big word to use. A number of cameras with more megapickles have had not so magnificent quality.

Never been out of fashion...and who says MP and image quality have to be mutually exclusive? IE: D800e.

do you need a 3D printer to make prints from it?

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
