I really like the second shot. I think the expression on the man's face shows real emotion, the 'dare you to do something' stare but at the same time the apprehension and fear of his position. Is this to be his end?

Both were taken during the re-enactment of the Battle of Mill Springs. First pic is of a CSA Captain "Bill" of Company H of the 1st South Carolina Infantry. The second is of General James Longstreet facing down Union Infantry. Taken this past weekend in Wasioja, Minnesota. 3 Battles in all were re-enacted. Mill Springs, Antietam ( Bloody Lane) and one of the skirmishes from Gettysburg that involved the 1st Minnesota.

Below is the portrayal of one of the many photographs that were taken of the sunken road in the days after the battle.
