I really hope I'm wrong but this girl looks like she's been hit by someone.

I'm going to guess you are talking about the drug, which makes this even more disturbing of an image when you consider you did a headshot of a drug user which you knew was high.

I don't think he meant it as a compliment. I've never heard of the drug before. Looks like it's a very harmful substance.

IMO, Photography isn't always about sun flares, pretty eyes, and happy moments. If this photo impacts you, then I think it might have fulfilled its purpose...

It would help to have a little context. I had no idea there was a drug called Haze.

More context would be helpful in understanding the artists intent.

So this is the same model in all the images, on the first page of your blog?

A portrait doesn't always need to be pretty face. The photo that I'm showing here is edited to be in this manner. The model was not as bad as what you are seeing here. The word haze is inspire by this

What I'm trying to portray is that Haze can be as bad as any physical abuse. This is the same model here https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1307909

No a portrait doesnt have to be a pretty face, but enhancing physical defects in post and attributing them to some social ill is a bit dishonest. Its fake documentary, akin to bad journalism.

I don’t understand the connection between pollution and how you’ve presented the model. I personally don’t think pollution and physical abuse are related in any way. I sure hope you PP’d her eyes that red and didn’t actually photograph her high.

It ain't the pollution. Evidently it's a drug. Read above.

I learn something new everyday.
