Dang Randy, that looks like a great vacation! Nice shots!

Thanks Cory. We had a great time. There were 9 adults and my 3 girls for 1 week on Kauai, then 4 of us and our girls for a week on the Big Island. I have only posted 2 days worth so far, so lots more to come!

The only down side is I don't even feel like looking at my camera because the sights there were so gorgeous, I won't get anything nearly as good at home. lol

I thought you owned this lens?? I keep saying I am going to pick one up, but then I realize that in order to contribute to this great thread (and use the lens asa it should be used), I would have to actually go to fantastic places to get great shots. Most of the cool places I go are in my kayak and my gear stays behind!

Ha! Yep owned it twice. I didn't really use it a lot, but I'm heading to Maui next month and need something wider than a 35mm. It's a gem for the price :) I'm also looking for suggestions on a good polarizer that won't break the bank. Thanks

I don't know what your budget is, but I use the Hoya Pro 1 filters and I usually get them from Amazon.

I have the 72mm HD and the 77mm Pro1. The HD has a lighter coating (only takes about 1 stop while the regular ones take about 2 stops IIRC) The HD feels slightly higher quality. I can't say I notice any difference in their polarizing effect.
