Thank you all for the very encouraging comments. This image was one of the first taken on a two day moose excursion (during which we saw twenty different Moose). I'm still sorting through the files but should have a few more keepers to post!

When I first saw the shot I was thinking how great it was you had the presence of mind to shoo and not miss it. I think I may have just gawked in awe. But seeing 20 on a single trip is very cool, I might need to look into that. Do they run all year?

They are most easily seen this time of the year when they are primarily feeding in the water. By next month they will move more into the woods and their diet will change to mostly land based vegetation although you do see them periodically in the summer months. In October when they rutt you get to see the bulls with full racks which always exciting.
