Beautiful! I am heading up tomorrow afternoon to shoot some of the valley in the super moon light. :) I only live 2 hours away so it is an easy commute.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Shooter, it looks like Mac missed your question about the location of the last three shots. I think they are all in Tuolumne Meadows, on the way to Tioga Pass. In #6 that looks like Lembert Dome over on the left side of the picture. This would have been facing east across the meadow.

Very nice. Where were 4, 5 and 6 taken from? I highly recommend going in January/February when there is snow It is amazing if you time it right.

I'm sorry I missed your question. As Jon Clemens said, shots 4, 5 and 6 were taken in Tuolumne Meadows. I was kicking myself for only taking one day to do the Tioga Pass/Tuolumne Meadows area after taking three days in the valley. For those going, the Tioga Pass/Tuolumne Meadows area is far less crowded and offers vastly different scenery that is just as spectacular as in the valley. However, you have to hit the valley if you have never been there before. It is breathtaking.

Thanks for the response. I'm going to book Tuolomne for next July. I hope there is still color up there for that time of year and that the flowers are still in bloom and not dying of from the heat!

Nice work CO. I like #1 and #3 most. In the last 3 the post processing is taken just a bit too far for my tastes.

Cheers, Helen

Thank you all. I grew up in Colorado and never saw views so striking as I did in Yosemite. It should be on everyone's list for places to visit.

Have you been to Glacier NP? It and Yosemite are my two favorites.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

That's because Colorado is overrated. ;)

How long does it take to drive from the valley to Tuolumne Meadows?

And how many times did you pull over to check out something interesting along the way?

I'll be there at the end of July and never went up Tioga Road before. Just stayed in the valley on 2 previous day trips. But this time I'll be camping there for a few nights.
