Evening chaps. Just processed the photos from Saturday nights 28DL shoot around Basel. Started at Marktplatz in the centre and walked to Basel SBB rail station. Didn't quite get the effect I wanted due to the cloud cover that came in at 2am and the late sunrise due to latitude, but still managed to get the station almost completely empty. Also got told off by the tripod police for taking "commercial" photos, though it was fun watching them trying to tell me off after I replied "Sprechen Sie English? Ich sprechen keine Deutsch" .

Here are a few from the shoot.

Hello, long time no post. Great shots as usual from all.

Thought I'd pop by and give Penel a scare. (Yes, I've been on roofs again).

If anyone is interested on Sunday 14 July, 11 august and 3 November the sound mirrors at Denge on Romney Marsh have some open days.

July 14th would be good for me

Nice set and must be weird seeing it so empty, always entertaining when I approach a photographer when I am at work. They think I will give them a hard time and normally more interested in their kit;)

You don't realise how dependent we are on it until it is not available

right advice for the next week please, I am going to be in the midlands this evening and tomorrow. I then have Thurs-Sat to play with as I need to be near Skomer Sat evening as I am staying on Skomer Sunday and Monday night. I've hired a 500mm for the week so I need some thoughts on what to take on Thurs-Sat

Current thoughts

WWT Slimbridge
Gigrin Farm for Red Kites or this place http://www.redkiteswales.co.uk/ (external link)

but it leaves me a little short of things, anything in the brecons worth going to look at, I hear its good for waterfalls etc.

due to a 500w light one side and a 250w light the other and I couldn't be bothered to get the eyes right in post as I quite liked it, as for my day getting better then yes it has a bit, I popped up to the vets yesterday morning with Smudge my ragdoll cat (he's 11) for his booster and a check because as he for a couple of days been off his food and seemed to be breathing a bit odd, well the vet checked him over kept him in done a xray and a blood test and rang me back to say that he was riddled with tumors and his lung had stopped working so it was best to put him to sleep, so back I went and held him while he feel asleep so not the greatest of days yesterday..
